Awards / Prize Money

Prize money will be given out to the top 3 female and top 3 male participants for the full marathon participants who have registered through the Elite Athlete application process. Prize money winners may also receive age group awards. All prize money awards are based on gun time. Age group awards are based on chip time. See the chart below for prize money.

In the full marathon, awards will be given to the top 3 female and top 3 male participants in these age groups: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65 69, 70-74, 75-80, 80 plus.

In the Team Relay Challenge, the top 3 relay teams will receive awards.

In the half marathon, prize money will be given to the top 3 female and top 3 male participants who have registered through the Elite Athlete application process. Awards will be given to the top 3 female and males  in: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-80, 80 plus.

The 5K will be chip-timed and awards will be presented to the top three men and women in the following age/gender categories – 7 & under, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-80, 80 plus.

Awards will not be given for the WPS Kids’ Power Run.  All children will receive a children’s participation medal.

Athletes are subject to formal drug testing in accordance with USATF rules and IAFF Rule 144. Athletes found positive for banned substances, or who refuse to be tested, will be disqualified from the Cellcom Green Bay Marathon events and will lose eligibility for future competitions. Some prescription medications contain banned substances. Information regarding drugs and drug testing may be obtained by calling the USOC Hotline.

Drug testing is typically reserved for elite athletes, top finishers or record-breakers, unless otherwise deemed necessary by Cellcom Green Bay Marathon officials or sanctioning groups.

Casual participants should not be concerned with drug testing. Please continue to take all medications, as directed by your health care provider.
